EXTREME NIGHT OF RATT N ROLL!!

BSD in full force for a night shared with one of our all time favorite bands, RATT.  This show was much anticipated as it officially kicked off the summer of concerts for our little group, officially on a world domination tour of concerts.  WOOO HOOO get the party started.

We started out meeting up with friends for a nice dinner party at Benny’s (you know it; you love it…awesome Mexican food).  The BSD girls were pleasantly surprised to be joined by none other than Ratt’s awesome and one of my favorite bass players – Robbie Crane.  Mr. Crane who is amazing on stage is even more amazing in person!  I think he talked the entire meal – and was never arrogant or self-centered – the man can talk and make a group of nuns laugh and eventually blushJ.  I love his enthusiasm and his energy is amazing.  If we could bottle it up, we’d be in some serious cash!  Robbie was jazzed about playing in Denver again and also was totally stoked about being a main act on the up and coming cruise – Shiprocked.  If you don’t know about Shiprocked, you better get your head out of your keister and check them out at www.getshiprocked.com.  It is an amazing cruise taking place in November – traveling to the Caymans and Jamaica.  All along you get to mix and mingle with some incredible bands, Queensryche, Tesla, Ratt, Lynam, Skid Row, Broken Teeth, Stone Rider, Niki Bar Band, Lynam, Stereoside and my personal favorite(saved for last cause I love them soo much) Endeverafter.  Concerts are non-stop in the evenings, between amazing shore excursions and more than likely more fun than should be allowed by law.  Several of the BSD team members were on the Motley Cruise several years ago and we are STILL recovering from THAT much FUN!

Anyhoo, back to RATT!  After dinner we made it to the venue to a nicely packed show full of veteran rockers and lots of the usual guys and gals that do their best to support this thing we all call ROCKNROLL.

All asses, I mean access passes secured and the BSD girls were ready to rock to the opening act and one that we all might love, Extreme.  Extreme sounded pretty darn good, but I just couldn’t get into it.  Sorry Extreme lovers, all of the hits caught my ear, but the in betweens were not soo exciting.  I know one thing is for sure, I saw Extreme in Rocklahoma a few years ago and they were NOT so good there either.  Fortunately there was a bit of an improvement to make the show tolerable at best.  The same dynamic is there with this band, but I just don’t think they have a big enough following to make a difference.  Does that make sense?  Loved that they did a little Micheal Jackson tribute which seemed to be the most exciting song of the night!

Next up Ratt.  Ratt was truly ready to roll!  We were excited to see Stephen Pearcy performing with a ton of energy and he sounded AMAZING!  Robbie was right when he said at dinner that they were ready to rock it out!  Although I did miss a familiar face and another one of my favorite rockers, John Corabi, the band sounded great together and the fans were loving every minute of it!  I was super excited when they played one of my favorite songs “I Want A Woman”. Mr. Pearcy struggled a bit with this one for some reason, but the crowd knew the song and belted out every word.  After the show, of course Stephen was not around (he never seems to be), but the BSD girls chatted with several other members of Ratt and were thrilled to host them in our city!  Nothing like rockin it out in the Mile High!

On a funny note, BSD, is an official supporter of Pete’s Kitchen and ended the night by singing some Ratt tunes and talking all about Ratt with an amazing waitress, who said she was thinking of naming her next son either Stephen or Robbie.  Smart, smart girl! RATT N ROLL BSD FANS!!!  Show these boys love – every time you see them!
